Health care that came to the people
During the 2022 Eburru mission the medical arm ran as its own camp, with volunteers, medicine and eye care brought directly to four villages where clinics are far.
- A nurse practitioner, a pharmacist, three nurses and lifestyle practitioners on the team
- More than 300 residents assessed and treated
- About $5,000 of medication and eyeglasses given away free
Some residents had never received medical attention before. For them the camp was not a consultation. It was the first care they had ever had.
The care did not stop when the camp packed up
Follow-up outreach has continued through health talks, eyeglasses distribution and ongoing engagement in residents’ own communities, keeping the promise of the camp alive long after the tents came down.
Four days at Eburru and Songoloi
Information last updated: September 2026
A medical team on the ground
The camp was staffed by a nurse practitioner, a pharmacist, three nurses and lifestyle practitioners, who provided assessments, treatment, health education and medication to residents who took part.
They came from different professional and ministry backgrounds and served free of charge alongside the evangelism mission.

More than 300 residents served
More than 300 residents from Eburru, Thome, Morgan and Songoloi were assessed and treated, giving families access to basic healthcare close to home while creating real connection with the community.

Reaching people who had never had medical care
One of the most significant outcomes was discovering that some residents had never received medical attention before. For them the outreach was far more than a consultation. It was care, health guidance and encouragement they otherwise had no access to.

$5,000 in free medication and eyeglasses
About $5,000 worth of medication and eyeglasses was provided completely free of charge, addressing immediate health needs while reducing some of the financial barriers that stop people reaching basic treatment.

Health talks continue
Since 2022, follow-up has continued through healthy lifestyle talks, eyeglasses distribution and engagement with residents, responding to emerging health needs while maintaining the relationships the camp began.
