What the schools visits turned into

Information last updated: September 2026

01

A strong focus on children

The mission went beyond medical services to include a children’s ministry, giving children a safe and engaging environment where they could take part in activities that encourage faith, learning, fellowship and positive values.

That care did not end when the team flew home. We visit and support vulnerable families across Eburru so that school never has to stop.

Youth ministry and schools outreach

Young people were an important focus of the mission. Through youth ministry and outreach to local schools, volunteers connected with students to offer encouragement, mentorship, life skills education and spiritual support.

The school visits created opportunities to engage with students in their own environment and build relationships that outlast the mission.

Supporting students through school bags

Matigari also distributed dozens of school bags to primary school students, providing practical support to children and families while encouraging students in their education.

For many children a school bag makes a real difference to their ability to organize and carry their learning materials.

Dignity in the classroom

Beyond bags and books, outreach teams distributed sanitary products to local students, practical support that keeps girls in class, with dignity, through the school year.

Small, consistent gifts like these are what turn a single mission visit into a lasting presence for the families who receive them.
